Spider-Man 3 just tried to do too much, and didn’t succeed at any of it (except how Spidey looks). Why would I want to web-sling across town with Mary Jane on my back yelling at me “Go higher!” in order to increase my “hearts” with her, or take photographs of various stuff for the Daily Bugle? No one does. Whether it is the combat, the graphics, the story, just about anything in this game it suffers from trying to do too much and reach a deadline thanks to a movie release. My advice? Screw the release date. Get it right. The Spider-Man franchise is known as being one of the best movie tie-in game lineages on the market. As anyone can tell, I can’t recommend this game to the casual gamer. This is aimed squarely at hardcore Spider-Man fans, and only their unyielding devotion to anything Spider-Man will get them through this game. Everyone else should steer clear, and if nothing else rent it if you’re curious.

Spidey swears, animated violence abound, and a lot of terrorizing innocent people. If you let your kid watch the movies, you should be fine to let them play this game. |
