Viva Piñata is a well-rounded game that offers something to everyone. The bright and colorful environment looks and feels cheery and inviting. The cutesy Piñatas are unique and animated, giving the player a sense of wonder not often found in a life-simulating game – especially one about papier-mâché animals. Anticipation and accomplishment are the main ingredients of this game, and it is well placed. Players will want to build their garden with as much care and finesse as possible, hoping to attract the next wondrous Piñata as soon as possible. |

| | Sound. Ambient animal-like noises are good, but could use some background music. Nothing that Xbox 360's music library can't fix, though.

| | Multi-player. An Xbox Live community, within the game, would have been a nice touch. Trading and asking questions would be a lot easier and, frankly, a bit more fun.
