The Godfather The Game was first released on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC back in March of 2006. It has now made its way onto the Xbox 360 with upgraded visuals and a number of improvements and extras. EA overhauled the graphics and almost doubled the amount of missions available in the game, but it is still the same old game...and the graphics aren’t as impressive as the top Xbox 360 games. Still, it's a solid upgrade to an already impressive game.
The most noticeable upgrade, besides the graphics, for the Xbox 360 version of The Godfather is that there are 28 extra missions to play through, bringing it to a grand total of 66. This alone adds a lot of extra replay value to the 360 version that the previous games didn’t have. However, the majority (38) are the same exact missions from the old game.

The Godfather makes the leap to next-generation!
Other than the new missions, there are a plethora of other improvements and new features. There are four new cars, six new melee weapons, and many new businesses to take over. Also, you now have the ability to hire groups to work under you, which can be very useful in large fights. EA did their homework and researched problems with the previous versions of the game and fixed them in the Xbox 360 version. Some of the improvements include: more living world gameplay variety, fixed targeting issues, and improved the AI of the police.
All of these extra features are piled on top of an already solid and deep game. The gameplay is open-ended and very similar to the Grand Theft Auto games. For instance: there are missions that need to be completed in order to advance in the story, but if you want, you can just drive around and cause havoc in the city. The game is very realistic and provides the player with an amazing amount of things to accomplish. There is so much to do, in fact, that it will take at least a week before you explore most of the things you can access.
