Dead Rising is a good game, but is it $60 worth of good? With no multiplayer and many annoying problems, it is hard to say it’s worth it. If you enjoyed the demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace and can’t stop playing it, then it will likely be worth your money. However, expect to be let down by a few of the issues mentioned here. The demo seemed very polished where as the full game seemed rushed. If you aren’t sure about Dead Rising, rent it first and see how you like it.
Sweet to the Core
Fun. With the amount of weapons and zombies, it is impossible not to have a good time.
Replay Value. You will want to play through this game at least three times befor setting it down for good.
Weapons Galore. Litterly hundreds of weapons, including toys and vehicles.
Going Bad
Firearms. Not easy to use or aim.
No Multiplayer. Not even local or system link!
Mission Setup. The way missions are setup and communicated will need some getting used to.
Rotten to the Core
Gamesaves. Horrible save system that will have you back at the beginning more than once.
Annoying Walky-talky. It seriously rings every few seconds and will yell at you if you hang up.

Dead Rising contains loads of blood, gore, and violence; and of course lots of killing. Not intended for younger gamers.
