Famed director Peter Jackson announced today at X06 that he and Microsoft have formed a partnership by founding Wingnut Interactive, a studio poised to take interactive storytelling to the next level.
Along with the deal comes Jackson's involvement in a new chapter of the Halo series (not Halo 3), in which he is titled as co-designer, co-writer, and co-producer. However, Jackson stated that he also intends on creating new intellectual properties built specifically for the platform.
No details have been provided thus far on what exactly the Halo title Wingnut will be working on is, but we'll be sure to let our readers know that information when it becomes available.
