The Xbox 360 has now officially been announced and showed off by MTV and
Microsoft on Thursday May 12th. The MTV show featured just thirty minutes of the
unveiling and showed off just a few games and some of the basic features of the
Xbox 360. In this article we will give you a much more in depth view of the Xbox
360 hardware specs, accessories, software, and most
importantly... the games.
After the MTV showing, most people where disappointed at the fact that there was
way to much "MTV stuff", such as the music by the killers and
commercials, and they never really
showed much of the games that everyone has been waiting to see. It seems as though the show was designed to only give
the slightest details about the console just to get word out there that
Microsoft is almost done with the development of the next Xbox and that they are
ready to start showing it off.
The official Xbox 360 fact sheet is where you are going to find the most
valuable information pertaining to the actual hardware specifications of Xbox
360. This fact sheet gives you a brief overview of its features and then gives
the detailed system specs. The detailed system specs include the whopping processor (Three symmetrical
cores running at 3.2 GHz each), graphics processor (10 MB of embedded DRAM),
memory (512mb), storage (Detachable and upgradeable 20GB hard drive), and more.

In addition to the Xbox 360 fact sheet that was released by Microsoft, they also
released a peripherals fact sheet outlining the multiple peripherals and
accessories that will be available upon system launch. Some of these accessories include
various custom
face plates, a memory unit, a remote control, a camera, a new 360 headset, and the
wireless and wired Xbox 360 controllers.

Despite the fact that many Xbox gamers out there were let down by the MTV
showing of the Xbox 360, when they came online and checked out ourcolony.net (to
see if anything big had happened to the site) they were hit with a huge
surprise. The contest is now over and a download has appeared on the main page.
After downloading the somewhat large file you will find that it is actually a
video showing off the Xbox 360 and its hardware. The video even goes as far as
to show you the motherboard, and explains a lot about the new system and even
says that the Xbox 360 will have water-cooled heat sinks on its processors. This
isn't the only goodie though, check out the video and you will be surprised at some
of the information that was not included in the MTV unveiling show.

Now we get to the games... the most important part of the Xbox 360. Even though
the Xbox 360 has just been official announced, many 360 games have already been
announced too, along with a few screen shots to see what some of these next
generation games will really look like. Some of these games include Perfect Dark
Zero, Gears of War, Project Gotham Racing 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Tom
Clancy's Ghost Recon 3, and more. For a full list of the Xbox 360 games that
will be available on the system either at launch or shortly after check out the
